How to Prepare Your Office

Start charting your move approximately three months out.  Begin with a general de-clutter of the office.   This will help to maintain a more efficient method of packing. Start an inventory sheet compiling a list of everything you are planning to move. Also, begin mapping out where the furniture will go, and if new furniture will need to be purchased.

It is best to ask each employee what he or she may need to begin packing their own items. Each employee will have different needs. Some may have more paper, and therefore need file boxes; while others may have more electronics.  Providing the office with permanent markers and proper storage for electrical wires will prove to be extremely useful. When each individual is packing up their area, it will help everyone if they each label their boxes and bags. Therefore when you reach your new office area everyone will be able to find all of their supplies easily.
